What to see at Hellbrunn

The water games, the pleasure palace and the hilltop museum — what your ticket covers.

Updated July 2026 · Hellbrunn Palace Tickets Concierge Team

One ticket covers three distinct experiences at Hellbrunn. Here's what to look for in each, so you don't miss the palace's best surprises.

The trick fountains

The heart of a visit: hidden jets in the stone dining table, the grottoes and the paths, plus a remarkable water-powered mechanical theatre of a whole moving town. The 50-minute guided walk is where everyone gets caught out.

The pleasure palace

Inside, the “GrandDelight” exhibition tells the story of the villa Markus Sittikus built purely for daytime entertainment — famously, without a single bedroom.

The folklore museum

Up the hill, the little Monatsschlössl pavilion houses a Salzburg folk collection and rewards the short climb with views back over the gardens.
